About
PriceTap shows the price of the same product side by side across several shops. The goal is simple: see the lowest eligible price for one exact variant at a glance.
We are not a shop
PriceTap is not a seller. We do not sell products, we do not take payment, and we have no warehouse and no delivery. The purchase happens on the shop's own site; the parties to the sale are you and the shop.
That is why the final price, the stock status and the delivery terms have to be checked on the shop's own page — we read them, we do not set them.
How prices are collected
We read prices from the shops' public pages and from their structured data (schema.org). Our crawler arrives under its own name, never disguises itself as a browser, and fully respects robots.txt.
Every price is a timestamped observation, not a live quote: the page states when that price was seen. An observation older than 48 hours is labelled as not refreshed.
The honesty promise
- Offers are ordered by price only. Payment does not affect the order.
- No shop's link is ever disabled for not paying — every offer is clickable.
- Sponsored placements sit outside the list, in a separate block, with an explicit "Sponsor" label.
- We do not publish what we have not measured: no reviews, no ratings and no price forecasts, because we have not collected real reviews.
- We state plainly that coverage is partial: we write "found in N shops", never "every shop in Azerbaijan".
How we make money
Two sources: the measurement and statistics service we provide to shops, and clearly labelled sponsored placements. Our tariffs are public — you do not have to write a letter to learn the price.
About the name
PriceTap joins the English word "price" with the Azerbaijani word "tap" (to find); read in English, "tap" also suggests a touch. The name is written identically in all three languages: PriceTap.
