How ranking works

The only value a price comparison site has is the trust that it shows the cheapest offer. So we do not hide the ranking rule — it is written out in full here.

The order offers appear in

The order is fixed in code and identical on every page:

  1. 1. In-stock offers come first.
  2. 2. Then by ascending price — the cheapest first.
  3. 3. If prices are equal, the more recently checked offer comes first: sending someone to a shop on a stale price works against them.
  4. 4. If those are equal too, alphabetically by shop name. That way the order is never arbitrary and does not jump around when you reload the page.

When the "Cheapest" label is withheld

  • An offer whose delivery fee is unknown cannot be the cheapest, because the final amount is not comparable. Such offers are shown in a separate group and their links work.
  • An out-of-stock offer never enters a lowest-price claim; its amount stays labelled as the last observed price.
  • A monthly instalment is not a purchase price and takes no part in any lowest-price claim.

Sponsorship does not affect ranking

Sponsored placements are not inside the list but beside it — a separate block with an explicit "Sponsor" label. If a sponsoring shop also happens to be the cheapest, both labels are shown independently: one states the payment, the other states the price.

No link is ever disabled

If a shop does not pay us, its price is still shown and its button still works. Killing a non-paying shop's link means steering the visitor towards a more expensive offer. We do not do that.

How we are funded

Two sources: the measurement and statistics service we provide to shops, and clearly labelled sponsored placements. A per-click fee never affects the price ordering.

The red line

Payment does not change the order. The rule is fixed in configuration, and breaking it would strip the product of its entire purpose. Sponsored space is sold outside the list, with an explicit label; even the most expensive plan does not move an offer up by a single position.
